Short all the 14th amendment mumbo jumbo they got it right. Excessive fines are prohibited, then apply the 10th The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Federally prohibited and not reserved to the state means states cannot do it either to me. Add in the Range Rover was purchased with an inheritance thus negating the it was bought with illegal proceeds argument. Hate to argue for a heroine pusher but give his truck back. Oh and interesting to me is should all items bought while in the US by an illegal alien be confiscated as they were bought with money from execution of a crime (not allowed to work here)? Can you say wall funding
