Buff, the place is awsome! You'll take to it very quickly. Very much like savanah, w/ lots of high speed turns, a couple of technical, zero/off camber turns, a bus stop and decent elvation changes. The pavement is the best I've seen in the north, considering how long it's been there. (better by far than the re-paved summit) I would recomend springing for the track day. The track is a little narrow and it takes a little commitment to run the fast line. Someone posted a fast lap described by Tray Batey on the endurance forum a few weeks ago, but I can't seem to find it now. I'll e-mail you my version whenever I get around to typing it.
You gonna be at cmp? I'll finally have the rd ready!

    Buff:

    I was just stating a fact about the CB350. I fully intend/expect
to have the CB350 Honda ready to race. The only question
might be the XS650, but should have the parts for it.

I used a universal carb manifold on the CB350 which the
inlet hole was too large, therefore I found a 2mm thick
rubber ring to match to the carb and port. The
gas must have deteriorated the rubber and started
sucking pieces through the engine. At the end of the
day both rubber rings were gone and one exhaust
valve had a slight wiggle and was burned along one
    side.

I have used another type carb manifold and a new valve,
therefore should be ready to go.......:D

The track is straight forward without any blind corners
    or elavation changes.

Similar to Savannah in many ways. Someone was kidding
about being hard to learn trying to worry you.

Check www.putnampark.com and check the description by
Tray (Pro's Perspective - after Ron Fellows)

What's interesting is at the time (1995) the lap
record was 1:12.90 by Tray. Last weekend he ran mid 1:12s and
low 1:13s for an hour and a half in the endurance.

Another V2 racer is confirmed at Putnam. Stu Carter who races a
Manx and was the 1999 AHRMA 350GP and 500 Premier Champ.
I believe he won the V2 at Summit this year, therefore should
    be stong competition.

I didn't realize the Manx was eligible in V2 until I checked
the rule book to see what classes Stu could race.

Maybe I better start adding the supercharger with NOS
    to my 350....

    See you at the races

This is turning into a serious field of bikes and riders- If Jim breaks out the NOS I will have to debut my Tre' Cylindri' Honda 350 desleeved with an extra cylinder grafted on. It Revs to 14,000 and makes 56HP... and, and

Seriously- it will be great to have a mix of some really fast riders that really have not raced all that much together- it may be so much fun that we have to do it more often :p

Buff, even better than Trays description of a fast lap is an AOD video of jim and sam running around the track on their 600's. Go to 13x on the home page and look up army of darkness. It's under videos. If you don't have cable modem, it might take a while to load, but is well worth it!
