I guess we can't have "an honest discussion on Thanksgiving", considering your comments have little to do with what Thanksgiving actually is. Looks to me like some sort of attempt to blame liberals for something that they had nothing to do with...

Any part in particular? - there's a lot going on in those two interviews (which were excellent).

Native Americans are definitely better off for having been enlightened by the white man.

I skipped everything after the 1st sentence. Let me guess, in a nut shell people are still offenend and feel like they are owed something based on cultural heritage from past generations from people and families have or never had nothing to do with things. Please govt give me money for my suffering of my great great grandparents, I prefer my payments in alcohol and cigarettes, tax free, right??

I respect real native americans, that actually respect their past and future and keep their culture alive because it is real and should be passed down or it will die. I'm on the opposite end of the native american reality with the Seminole hard rock casino. The seminole tax free native american tribe that has been oppressed is worth about 10.4 billion down here??? Oh, the suffering

I’m not gonna lie. After visiting New Mexico and parts of Colorado and seeing what they’ve done on the land they have? It’s disgusting. We’ve been brainwashed to think they’re all about the land. Most don’t give two shits about the land.

To be fair, that’s pretty much universal across all economically depressed areas with sub-par education levels and generational poverty.

True story.... (I wouldn't lie, would I? :p). Back in '78 I was working in Cholla Az on an APS coal station. The local area had several Indian reservations. As the story went, every 2 years the tribe would get their government "assistance". It was enough so that many of the families went out and spent the money on new dually pick up trucks with all the bells and whistles. Of course they could have kept the money with the tribe and put it into improvements like schools but that was too hard. Within 3 months those new trucks looked like they were 10 years old...alcoholism will do that. Generalism? Sure, but I saw enough to make me believe it to be pretty widespread.

Drive across the Navajo nation and you will see that first hand. Every home is a shack in total disarray and various stages of decay. But every one will have a couple new trucks outside and a satellite dish. The buildings owned by the tribe are worse.

Man, just think how bad it would have been without the white man uplifting them. The results speak for themselves.

They can leave the reservation and live like
everyone else does. There are plenty that live
in NH and Maine and Vermont and they
aren't on reservations and they do fine.
And they keep their culture alive by holding
    gatherings and through organizations.

There is reservation couple miles from me, 15k acres. Only junk and mess there is not from natives but rest of us. People shooting guns and leaving mess, people dumping their garbage in truck loads, dumping old cars, mattresses, tv's... They used to have smaller acreage but Obama gave them whole valley and I am glad he did. I rather see that then have houses piled on top of each other.
They have little village, maybe 100 houses, and is much cleaner then many neighborhoods around.

How do you know who is responsible
for the dumping and shooting? How
    have you ruled them out?

Not only I know what is going on around but I see it with my eyes. I am out there trail riding all the time.
They allow us to use part of the land for trail riding, hiking, horse riding and what they call peaceful activities.
