I was just going for the LOOK of an older bike, the frame, the air cooled engine, and long fuel tank... I do not think Cafe Racers were built much for comfort... (I would not mind using a Gel Pad under the leather seat.)

The motor should have enough steam to get the bike rolling... The project is to make the suspension, geometry, brakes and rubber handle some weekend twisties... Maybe a few track day sessions.

    A PERFECT STREET BIKE...
Has to look and sound, like a Ducati Panigale...
Has to cost and insure, like a Suzuki SV650...
Has to service and maintenance like hopes, dreams, and Shinko tires...
Has to stretch and attract the ladies easy and cheap...

    :D LOL

I'm doing something similar, except I'm doing an old chassis with an even older motor:

If anyone needs an 86 1100 frame and swingarm for a project PM me. I have an unmolested one hanging on the wall of my garage that I will likely never use.

Where did ya get the mounting bracket for that MT03 headlight?

I bought some, but they were mounted too close to the headlight. Then I made myself some. very similar but with 2.5" room to mount the instrument cluster behind it.
Feel free to text me if you like to see pictures and hear details. 520 424 8831 Luis
