Remember how Bernie loved talking about Venezuela's socialist system. He and his wife traveled there a lot. Socialism is just like totally cool you guys, we need to like totally do it here. I mean it like totally works.

The one good thing about Venezuelan socialism was big after market tits.

Plastic surgery was free or near free and that included aftermarket boobs so there was a lot of them. That and the women out numbered the dudes. . . I think even 'toe could have gotten laid in Venezuela.

We got another asshole here in Massachusetts who adores Cuba. Congressman Jim McGovern. Same age as me. Grew up nearby. We would be playing Army or Cowboys and Indians and he would be playing with Ken and Barbie. Bonafide communist. Guess if he has a R or D besides his name. No cheating.

 

It's just crazy how far that country has fallen.

This. You know something is messed up when a 70 year old man is so idealistic and out of touch that his ideas appeal to college students.

 

Normally I look at people in these positions with a healthy amount of skepticism. They manipulate people for their own power and their entire platform is a lie, i.e., Al Gore/Michael Mann, Scientology, Obama, Evangelical Republicans, isis, etc. But with Bernie, he legitimately believes in socialism. I don't think he's faking it. He's just that dumb.

 

How? The army supports idiot face. He feeds them, pays them and their officers are loyal to Maduro. The masses have no guns, their leaders are jailed or are dead and chucking rocks at tanks only gets you dead in environments like that.

 

Private ownership of any guns was banned down there in 2013. They actually went house to house to get them all(?).

Add in the fact that he's an absolute fraud and a sell-out.

And his followers are mostly stupid enough to follow him off the cliff. Fine by me.

 

Even with no 2A, I always figured that if there was enough will, there would be a neighboring country, ally (to the rebels), or friendly CIA operative that could provide the means. Even here, if there was to be a major upheaval, I'm pretty sure there'd be some shipping containers full of eastern bloc or Chinese weaponry showing up here and there.

 

They (in Ve) haven't reached the tipping point yet. Unlike here in the States where our forefathers had 100 years of relative freedom prior to the revolution, those in Venezuela have been steeped in socialist ways for over a generation. It's the only thing they know (first hand). Even if they managed to overthrow the current regime it would only be replaced with like and kind....that or a military version of the same thing. The establishment of a long lasting free society is a very difficult thing to do. I'll add that the "red shirts" are very similar to the brown shirts of Nazi fame....totally dependent on Madura for their handouts.
