You would be forever known, in the annals of vintage biking, as "Mongo the Magnificent" if you showed up with a Munch 'Mammut.' It is exactly the bike for you, bar none. They are available, go get you one!
OK charles--you reached back far enough but the Munch is not eytalian--how bout an Apollo? http://www.ducati.com/heritage/anni60/apollo/apollo.jhtml
Yes, unique-really unique in fact only one remaining, if even that- so Mongo would not likely be seen on it...and UGLY! My God, I hope they shot whoever designed it! Now...the Munch...there is grace and classic beauty, solid German Teutonic engineering and style...imagine the sound...the glory...the power...once mounted on a Munch, Mongo would be the real deal- the veritable 'Obengruppenfuhrer of Vintage'.
OK--here's one on EBAY that's affordable: http://cgi.ebay.com/Minichamps-1-12-Munch-Mammut-4-TTS-1966_W0QQitemZ360113541772QQcmdZViewItem
www.motorcyclesforsaleclassic.com And you get a sidecar, too, for quick runs to the store. This you MUST have!
I am still working on the list with prices and all models, I should have it up by wednesday at the latest.
Itom or Garelli 50. My first 'motorcycle' in ZA @ 14 yrs old. Did a few laps of Kyalami on that, and much to my (and everyone's) surprise, it didn't seize. The only problem is if there's one on the inventory list.............. Cheers Barry
