That engine bay is awesome. I've seen a ton of those restos, but that is just beautiful.

 

Market is up on those cars, so owner is trying to take advantage of it now. Two to five years from now that could easily change and it might only bring 25-40% of that. It’s a big risk imo.

1MM for a museum condition (or better) original is not unrealistic, especially for an iconic, worldwide hyped car.

Ive had too many VWs to count, still have a '59 but my GOAT car/van/truck was my '66 VW cargo transporter. I regret selling that one more than any other. it was an absolute blast to drive.
