BTW, that dyno graph in post #368 is screwy. I've never seen a graph that didn't have the torque and hp lines cross at 5250 rpm.
There is an exception, but this graph doesn't indicate it. That exception would be if the torque and hp coordinates follow different scales.

Because the torque is likely reading in NM instead of lb/ft. I got all excited until I realized it couldn't possibly be making that much torque in lb/ft.

They haven’t come out with the R because they don’t know what the 2019 WSBK rules package is yet.

Also, historically they don’t come out with the R in the first year of production of a new SBK.

The 2013 R also had an adjustable swingarm pivot.

We had the V4 in our shop last week. It looks way better in person. The bike is going to be a beast, no doubt.

The V4R will be a different animal. From my sources, the V4R is special.

Where has the Ape V4 been proven other than by a factory effort in full SBK trim?

Interesting. Isn't the RSVR am honest 1000cc? Why wouldn't Aprilia take advantage of a 10% displacement bump if it was allowed. Or will the street Ducati V4 be an 1100 and the race bike will be a 1000?

Yes, Ducati has stated the upcoming "R" version will be a 1000. I believe the current one is actually an 1103 if you want to get really technical about it.

I saw one with number plates when I was down there in october... I would assume he was racing but didn't get a chance to see him out there.

    Seeing as how HP is a calculation(RPM * T) / 5252=HP), the lines have to intersect @5250rpm.

Given the sheer number of warranty claims and engine replacements on the Apriliaforum they can't hold a candle to Ducati for reliability. Didn't Biaggi's effort require 30 something engines to win?

IIRC they used 30 engines but not because of 29 failures. It was like when GP used to go through a metric fuck ton of engines because they were all built up grenades.
