On a side note, VisorDown's reporting no technical changes to the R1 for next year. If that's true, we have what appears to be a warmed-over CBR and a stagnant R1 for 2012. Curious to see what Suzuki brings to the table with their 1k, because as it stands they're the only Japanese manufacturer left who can bring something proper to compete against the Kawi next year. If not, I think Kawi may have a pretty good 2012.
Yeah, Kawis are kicking ass in the WSB...no wait... BSB?...Nah.......FIM SSTK?....nope....AMA?....negative...WERA?...??? Buller?
I was referring more to their literbike sales, but with another year of development under their belt (and some more widespread use at that) perhaps their SBK will come around. Not too many club guys running the new 10 this year from what I've seen so far - hell, I was the only guy racing one @ Summit last month from what I could tell. Doesn't mean the bike's not capable, just means there's that many less avenues for development, imo.
For sure. Half of the FIM SSTK grid is ZX-10's. Somebody at Kawasaki must be giving them away I suppose. I haven't heard much negatives about this new model, maybe they got it right this time. JD Beach got going pretty good on it for a while too. Alas...until you bring yours down to RA and let me take it for a spin so I can personally evaluated with these professional skillz, I won't stop making fun of you for being one of 4 guys in the country trying to race one.
