I dig Supertramp... I'll get on kicks with them and Fleetwood Mac... they are connected in my head for some reason... since childhood
I've been listening to The Warning a little lately. An all woman, Mexican hard rock band. Picture No Doubt with no ska influence. They're a lot of fun. The singer enunsiates so clearly, it's a little distracting.
Just stopped at the local ScrewValue for a few bolts… As I hit the checkout, I’m assaulted with Southern Nights by Glen Campbell. Dear sweet baby Flying Spaghetti Monster make it stop!
country road… take Dern home… free him from… mountain mama’s… in minnishitola…. Singing about those….. Southern Nights…. Deet da deet da Southern Nights… Damn man… I tried… right back to your disconinferno hell
I let the girls bring a speaker and play music at practices this week so, shit if I know what I’ve been listening to.
Yes, I liked this from Day 1, still my favorite Mothers album. Added bonus at the time of release was that my girlfriend's name was Evelyn. That song drove her nuts!
And… yesterday I woke up hearing London Grammar in my head…. Spent the day listening to her angelic voice mostly live versions like the KXRP sessions as she speaks too and her personality makes it even better… I’d like to understand the mechanics of pleasantries provided by some sounds and music, especially female voices. Incredibly uplifting at times.
Eagles, Take it easy. As wifey drives thru traffic for an hour to our first repair. Followed by Echo and the Bunnymen, Lips like sugar. My phone is on random.
I’ve never ever heard of anyone listening to the Cows… where did you get exposed to them? they opened for Tool at the Riviera in Chicago way back in like 94 or 95 iirc… sang half the song with a bullhorn and the pit was good and I bought their cd but realized it kinda sucked… caught up in the moment… I’ve not thought of them and or listened to that one disc I have in close to three decades now I’m sure… thanks for the memory jog though
