He could have eased up on the last few laps, gotten passed and could have said he burned up his tires and had to take it easy.

I don't think the moment was manufactured, but had it been under different circumstances, he would have certainly fought harder to get the lead back.

I was pleasantly surprised (ok...I was fucking shocked) to see Georgie all smiles and cheery in parc ferme.

He took a dive after his slip. He admitted so. He effed up, Dovi got by, he settled for 2nd afterwards. I'm ok with that.

 

Which really was the best thing he could have done, keeping it upright and relegating MM to 4th.

Very happy with how it turned out, given that Lorenzo made a genuine mistake (anybody that says otherwise is insane) that allowed Dovi to get through without much fuss. If 99 didn't attack after that, then so be it.

It's gonna take a miracle for Dovi to have a chance at Valencia, but we've seen stranger things happen in season's past......

Fantastic rides by the podium group. Those of you thinking Zarco is not a better rookie than Simoncelli was are high. He beat the two factory bikes by a combined 9 positions.

Lorenzo’s interview post race eluded to the fact he may have gone quicker but he knew his job. Said front was iffy but if it wasn’t Dovi in front of him I’m sure he’d have given it a shot.

That is what I heard too. It sounded like he could have gone faster but it would have increased the risk. No one wants to be the guy that knocks his team mate out of the title chase.
