When I started driving, gas was 45 cents a gallon. A pack of smokes was 55 cents, and I could go to the local 'pharmacy' and get a gallon jug of draft beer for two Gee Dee dollars. So....there you go.
I thought this was going to be "Shaneekwa has gas" or something. $.85 $1.25 for Marlboro reds I don't recall how much Mad Dog was.
a joint is made with zigzags or jobs. a blunt is made with swishers, optimos, white owls, and other cheap cigars. I am guessing that is the same even to this day.
Zigzags suck. They're all stiff and shit. They don't roll well. Jobs are the shit. Or so I've been told.
Yep - but include Rizla just cuz Blunts are still relatively new to the whole thing, that and I'm old.
well, all the little ganja dudes that come to my stores say the opposite. jobs supposedly dont stick as well as zigzags. Jobs sell half as well as zigzags at my stores, even if they are half the price (99c vs. 1.99) of zigzags.
Gas was .99 when I started driving. A case of good beer was $20 at the time, so that has only risen marginally, compared to gas. A 40 oz of St Ides was $2.50
I met with the rizla and lucky strike sales rep a few months back. We dont carry them yet...not too many stores around here carry them...I will be stocking them in the atlanta stores though. Toe would be jealous of all the rizla swag that lady gave me.
Blunts have been around since at least the late 80s. I remember a line in one EPMD song from 1989 where one of them said, "and like a real stunt, I rolled a blunt." It took me a few years to understand what he meant.
yup, the job 1 1/4 papers come in a big clear plastic goldfish looking container that are already pre-marked at 99 cents. i think there are almost 100 booklets per container.
