How many of the sbk entries are stock 1000 bikes?

Can’t wait to see those races. I do miss living in Georgia and watching them in person.

Yeah, a lot of big names there, should be awesome racing.
I wonder if it is because most people know it would be sooo expensive and hard to compete with the top 6-7 superbikes. So they all chose to just do stock1000 and sbk cup.

I would think that the purse money for the SBK cup is a big help to those guys as far as budget.

For sure. The stock 1000 purse is pretty weak especially compared to SBK (even SSP). But just because these guys are registered for superbike cup doesn't mean they'll be racing in it. They still have to make 108% or be top 5 stock 1000. Or have a race direction exception of course.

If Marco brought Manuela to every round, I'd much rather have Marco. She seems like a very nice and smart lady.

These are pretty amazing numbers!Much more then I would have guessed. Only real appointment would be JC. That is the future right there. Again, this is where I think they would be better to have JC, then Super-sport. etc. A super strong field would really elevate the good riders. HOpefully they will have some good depth in SS, Stock and SBK!

So pitchforks at dawn for someone daring to say we should get rid of Twins Cup?:D
Just kidding, but it does seem to be a fairly popular class with both young up and coming riders mixing with more mature riders.

I understand the reason for the JC, but come on it is not very entertaining watching slow bikes go around the track. At least the SS class hauls ass.

Twins Cup is also very unique in its own right due to them basically having a Super Bike ruleset. Although they have to use an OEM swinger, they do get more freedom as far as engine modifications.

I think thats the main issue with Twins cup. The motor builds have gotten ridiculous and have driven the cost up a ton. Its arguably more expensive to run a competitive twins bike than a SSP or STK1000.
