Yes That body style is ugly. Get a 67 or 68. But be prepared for a lot less drive-ability compared to modern cars. Weaker brakes, steering, creature comforts, etc. But they are very fun to drive
1970 is a great year for the chevelle SS. Cant get a LS6 big block in anything earlier. Your question is terrible. Its like asking what oil to run. How about some direction to answer the q? You want to get one for what exactly? Daily driving? Towing? Drag racing? Weekend in-n-out cruise? Sit in a glass encased show room known as your garage and never get touched? Grudge race other outlaws on the streets? Pro touring?
All depends on what you like, 68-72 Chevrolet’s are damn good cars. Expensive nowadays though. I always liked the 64-65 myself. They are cheaper but hard to find.
I've got a 72 Nova in the garage. It's heavy and handles like shit.....but it makes all the right nosies and turns heads. It's definitely worth having for the simple sake of slowing down and enjoying the cruise. Just roll down the window, elbow out and smell the fumes lol.
That's my mini-me in front the Nova. Only picture I had on hand. He loves riding in it, whereas my 11 yr old daughter is embarrassed (until one of the other kids geek out about it, then it's cool)
They also crown a National Champion Ugky Dog too. Just sayin..... On the real though... let’s agree to disagree cause I would....almost....rather own a mustang before a post 67 Chevelle. And I effing hate mustangs. Like HATE with a capital effing H hate mustangs. But that squished ass, junk in the trunk body style sucks. But feel free to like them.
