Last race of the year with a few chips still up for grabs. So we've got: No rain in the forecast New pavement that eats tires 44 Twins entries. DISCUSS! If Toni struggles as bad as he did at NJMP, he won't win the title. Not to mention lots of guys go well there. I think Cam will get it. Supersport is going to be fun to watch. PJ is on a roll. Fong is under a lot of pressure and Hayden just has to worry about doing a clean race. Twins cup I think I'm going to keep a Tally of how much gesturing I see on the track. Dumas has the chip in the bag if he can stay out of trouble. Lee/Lee Landers/Landers
This is a tough one as lots can happen. Does Gerloff let off and allow Beaubier finish ahead of him in both races to help with the title? Same with SDK, does he let Fong in front of him given the opportunity? SBK: Beaubier/Beaubier (with Toni finishing 2nd in both races and taking the title) SS600: Fong/PJ (Fong finishing 2nd in the second race and takes home the title) STK1000: Mesa/Lee Twins: Barnes (with Dumas in 3rd taking home the championship) Jr Cup: Landers/Landers
The good ole days when there were 50 sportsters on the grid and harley paying back to 20th right? Riding around a fucking 42 hp turd that doesn't turn. Good old fashion fun.
Meh, Do some research and see just what quality of racers came up thru this class and find some old racing coverage.
I have! It's fun to watch. There's probably enough time to run 2 1000SST, 2 Junior cup and 2 Twins cup each weekend if they do 3 day formats every round. Why don't they? Sean can pack in 20 races in 1 day. Moto America can't do 5? Cut the sighting lap and only do a warm up lap. Cut the dog and pony show walk through the grid down. There;s time to have double races for each class each weekend.
They announced at the NJMP Rider's meeting that there will be no more 2 day events. Also, they are dealing with TV coverage windows. So there is a little slop built into the schedule, so if there's a red flag / restart, the races still start on schedule. Even though the programming is not live now, they need to be prepared for that eventuality and that is what they are building the series towards. They are putting on a show worthy of a network broadcast. You don't get that without a pre grid, interviews, etc.
SBK should be interesting. Is Garrett good to go after that hit to his noggin (I think) that kept him out of race 2 in NJMP?
