This happens a lot in car racing. It is usually because people have already spent time and money on graphics for the cars. It is easy to make an x or another letter out of some duct tape for the weekend.
It's one of those things you MUST do at Daytona that also includes: A visit to the Shark Lounge (then getting crispy cremes at 3 am) Riding/driving on the beach People watching on Main St and A1A at 2 am Spectating at the motorcycle demolition derby Spectating at the short track (and now the TT) Beers at the Ocean Deck Fried gator tail SX But sadly some of these are gone but...
Shall we review the air filter rules before the race? Its been like 2 straight years of the wrong filter in the wrong year r6.
Yep. When I lived in Orlando, I would go past there on 415 on the way to the track. Traffic was always a clusterfock at the intersection.
Doesn't surprise me though as the fans left in 2004 when they shortened the course and dropped the big superbikes from the race.
Exactly. Im sure they tried years ago and I have no idea how it was in 2004.. but in recent years there’s been no mention of it in town and right now if you google bike week you won’t find it on any of the 1st page links. Maybe time to give it another shot. Ads, posters, flyers, discount tickets. Then again, maybe I’m way off base. As for me, I’ll have my popcorn ready and beer on ice.
Here's your shirt! https://www.cafepress.com/mf/81866183/keep-calm_tshirt?shop=resthome&productId=360604679
Same. But i'd do it again. Was there with Jamie France and a few other dudes. Droppin' whores in the dunk tank was funny.
at my decent expert, but hardly pro pace, I prefer chasing points for overall club level regional championships. it's a large undertaking to compete in the 200 and just haven't ponied up the effort it would take to do it right. So glad to see this event making a bit of a comeback though! I will be doing the 10am 2 hour GNCC tomorrow though .. lol!
Yep....really sucks if your trying to gain sponsors... Wait it’s on the Interweb Live! Where? uhhhhhhhh. I wish MAV TV would pick it up... it would be a perfect event for them..
