Ok.....thats an obscure enough reference that probably half the people here wont get it. But those of us that do....welll....hahahah
I play in one 16" no-glove (it's a Chicago thing) rec league, a regular 12" rec league, and a 12" league team that rewards errors and sloppy plate appearances with bench time or a run down the batting order, and treats missed BP with getting bounced off the team. The rec teams are way more fun.
When I was sixteen, the local ruritan league was like that. It was explained to me to expect to ride the bench for two years before I saw any playing time. My first practice, the regular third baseman was "helping" me. He keep saying, "Now take a step forward" in between every at bat. I felt like I was even with the mound. They played two nights a week, and most weekends, and missing games was not allowed.
You do realize that from 5064 of those people only you are probably the only one that takes it very seriously? I mean it's like being a star of your own toilet. You come off as being that one dick that takes it WAY too serious while everybody else is just in for a good time. Now you're in here telling us how good you are. Not a good look bro.
