Not to be disparaging but the French guys who have been populating the IndyCar series, for instance, are guys who failed to establish themselves on the F1 career path (not necessarily because of a lack of talent). I imagine it's the same for other nationalities.
Replay shows Dixon's car landing hard upsidedown once. Zero collapse of the protection to the driver. Must be amazingly strong.
I was thinking the same thing. That piece over their heads must be unbelievably reinforced. I would expect t is but with how hard he hit almost perfectly upside down it didn't move. Before the race there was a show about the safety teams and the car technology. It was pretty incredible to watch the science behind it all.
I'm surprised his race suit, shoes and even his gloves are not full up with the poo. He was up there long enough to have time to think about it before the car came down.
McLaren was actually working pretty well in Monaco this weekend. That would have been his only good race of the season probably. Now he needs to win this to make it worth it.
Meh Vandoorne ran good but Botton was shit and neither car finished. How long's it been since Alonso led a race? He's already made it worth it.
