Something differnt for sv bodywork

I use a gsxr fairing stay for my 675 stuff, i just had to bend the ears and cut some of the gauge holder edges off. The side brackets I made with thick flat stock.

 

Didn't Joe Kraft have a nicely built red SV with an R6 tail? That looked badass!!

We just mounted 11-13 bodywork. I tried to do download pics but it says file to big.

 

The newer R6 tails look awesome, have to build a custom subframe. Tried a 03-05 tail with stock subframe, no go, thought about merging a R6 subframe since I have one with the stock 2nd gen subframe, but that is too much work over just making it all custom.

 

That is sick, and I bet it would look good. Wish I could find out...lol

 

yo thanks for posting that. was looking at that fairing on ebay for my supersingle. was thinking TZ750, but then the seat won't really work out how i want. then was thinking something like a YZR500 ROC... this would fit the bill nicely, assuming its dimensions aren't too crazy off.

 

I had 08 R6 bodywork on Ty's SV650. Funny to watch people look at it weird when rolling on to the track.

 

I like the minimalist look on the SV. I would love to be able to find this fairing to run on my SV.

I need to watch this thread. I need a cost-effective replacement option for the Sharkskinz I might have finally beaten beyond salvaging. Knowing what can be fabbed up to work allows me to cast a bit of a wider net as I try to look for a replacement upper/lower combo.

 

It's close but it looks a little bit different to me.

It kinda looks like/resembles a ysr50 upper its so small. Ive seen one on a full size bike and didnt look all that bad for minimalistic.

 

That looks really nice. Did you have any issues getting the tail section mounted up?

 

Basically had to cut up the subframe to nothing lol

 

I was just thinking, a MV 675 fairing would be pretty cool too. But idk how the tail would slope.
