Something differnt for sv bodywork

Im doing another sv but wanted to do something besides the normal sv bodywork or 04/05 gsxr stuff. Iv seen some post like this from a couple years back but figure I would seen if anything recent has changed.
I was thinking 675 bodywork, rs250 or Moto 2 stuff.
Thought and pics anyone?

 

Sam weist ran or runs 675 bodywork on his sv650 and posted the custom fairing stay on svider forums for sale

 

Aprilia RS250 bodywork fits nicely. Thus was my old bike.

 

675 stuff is narrow enough to almost look legit. I had to cut my stock subframe to get the tail to fit far enough forward for my liking.

A lot of my friends have SVs with all kinds of body works.
Currently one of them is running a new gsxr600 bodywork.
Ive also seen R6 and RSV4 tails on them that look great.

If was me I would go with a 999

 

TLS1000 with SV tail.

Ha! Funny you mention that; I was eyeing my 899 Sharkskins next to my 250 last week.

 

oh, i've held my 1199 track fairings on to the SV more than a few times. but the lack of bellypan and all that stopped me right there. also the tail. man that tail...

 

mark, is that the stock SV seat with the late gixxer tail? how did it fit up?

 

Yep, stock seat and 05 (I think) GSXR 1000 tail.

 

I actually called the company but didn't get a lot of feedback. I was worried since I have never seen it in person

 

Iv seen the rsv tail and yes it looks good

 

There was a pic of a sv with 125 bodywork or something like that around and it looked really good also

Do you guys use the stock fairing stay. Or does this require fabbing up all the mounting brackets?
