Because one guy changed his mind? Your sample size is a bit small. In reality, it probably is getting warmer. I don't doubt it. Throw the word anthropogenic in there and I start to tune out.
I am not a scientist, so I'm not qualified to say either way. Clearly, though, the people who ARE qualified can't agree, so it's not settled by a long shot. I say we let them sort it out before we start putting trillion-dollar burdens on the economy, businesses, and individuals. It would be a real shame to see that happen and then find out a .00001% change in the angle of the Earth's axis, or a minute shift in orbit were the culprit. And if they can't prove it one way or another, you can't just ban certain vehicles or set ridiculous standards "just in case".

The scientists who work in this particular field agree at a rate of +97% that it does it exist. So I believe that saying "the people who ARE qualified can't agree" is amazingly incorrect.
Where did that stat come from? The same scientists who keep adjusting their models because they don't come up with the results they want? The ones who need a lot more government money to support their research (and themselves) so they can search for the results they want? Global warming/climate change is a political tool, the modern equivalent of a religion to achieve political ends and earn certain entities a shitload of money while creating reasons to create laws that further those political ends. Anyone who buys a Chevy Volt thinking they're going to affect the climate is beyond being a fool, they've crossed the line into insanity.
Everywhere. I get it, you're a denier. It's ok....this is America, you can believe whatever you want. There is more than just this link...a lot more. http://theenergycollective.com/henr...ientists-pretty-much-agree-global-warming-man
Professor Doran was not surprised by the near-unanimous agreement by climatologists."They're the ones who study and publish on climate science. So I guess the take-home message is, the more you know about the field of climate science, the more you're likely to believe in global warming and humankind's contribution to it." Strangely enough, more than 97% of Catholic priests believe that Jesus existed. The study in question surveyed 1,372 known working climate researchers. and found 97% of them still believe in global warming. Check this page for the names of over 31,000 scientists who disagree with man-made global warming.
OK...so priests are the same as scientists that publish in peer reviewed journals? How many of the 31k are climatologists? You could put up 100K names and if they aren't climatologists it doesn't matter. What matters is that people who work in the field and understand the nuances of the field agree at a rate around +97%. Of course maybe you think all Ph.D are the same...maybe you're ok with a guy who only got his Ph.D in English literature being your oncologist, or a proctologist prescribing you reading glasses, but I have a firm belief that even though they might know something about other things...I'd go with the specialist in that field.
Yes, in this case they are. The scientists are true believers in the same way the priests are. Your definition of a peer, in this case, are those who already agree with the theory. You should have been taught in high school that the way a theory is proved is to try to disprove it. Global warming "scientists" do just the opposite, they discount everything that disagrees with their theory. They have no credibility. These are among the scientists who disagree with global warming, from the page I cited: Atmospheric, environmental, and Earth sciences includes 3,805 scientists trained in specialties directly related to the physical environment of the Earth and the past and current phenomena that affect that environment. Note that that number alone is three times the number who make up the 97% you cited.
Riiight, that's where the really big money is, environment, green industry, etc. Poor big oil and coal industries, they don't stand a chance....
Note... I read the site you listed, and I stick by my answer in my last post. To bad you don't see it that way. You might be surprised to learn that scientists are as catty as high school cheerleaders, and therefor the peer reviewing isn't a simple white wash that you believe it is.
You obviously missed the fact that the US Government is handing out tens of billions of dollars for global warming initiatives, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The money involved dwarfs the oil and coal industries. Al Gore has become very wealthy pushing this nonsense, and is positioned to become much wealthier, along with many others involved in the scam.
Exxon made that in the last quarter , but you have nooooo problem believing that the scientists are the problem.
Question: Why don't all the global warming supporters here stop racing so that they can minimize their carbon footprint? OP should definitely stop vending tires. I mean it's the logical conclusion of the policy you're pushing. Oh wait, is this one of those do as I say not as I do situations? :crackhead:
