white/red/blue all the bike being posted are Red/White/Blue. BMW's have always been WHITE with red and blue
^^ The man does have a point....BMW motorsports M cars were always white red and blue. i think up to now there was never an issue because BMW only raced cars.
It doesn't matter what either company's racing color are or were... that CBR looks like the BMW Superbike. Get over it.
godamnit america... trying to steal the colors of england. they were totally a country first. i think it was never an issue, because up until the 1700's this country never existed.
yeap only new colors for the R1. They also said that the launch of the new R6 will be pushed back a year at least. With the economy in the tank, I think everyone should do what Honda is doing. Give the bike a fresh set of plastics with some minore updates. new every two kept me chasing the newest bike lol...
Are we really having a discussion about who used a set of colors first? BMW uses red/white/blue before Honda. big effing deal. red/white/blue are still HRC colors. Next time a new Ducati is released, I'm gonna whine that Honda had red bikes first! Can we get back to talking about the bike? I want to see a spec sheet on this thing to know what all is new or better.
I wonder what bike won the very first AMA Superbike Championship? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_R90S
Call me silly, but given what SEEMS to be very minor changes (BP forks, wheels and bodywork?) makes me believe that there is some sort of RVF homologation special sitting in the dark corners of HRC. The CBR will be what sells on the street, a V4 RVF is what they use to race.
I think you are right... In the link I posted Honda just repatent the RVF name and some components... they are up to something, thats for sure. 2013/14 may see a 2nd 1000 superbike. THey are not hurting as bad as the other MC companies also, so they can take a chance on it. Then again they account for 60% of all motorcycles sold on the planet.
my bad, i posted that with my phone and didnt check the vid. the version of that ad, i get to see every televised mototgp race we get here in australia has him backing into a few corners and leaving darkies on exit. check out the version on the honda aus website. however it wont appease you much, theres only one braking moment he gets the back end loose. http://motorcycles.honda.com.au/Video_Gallery cheers.joe.
