I have a yellow cfl that’s specifically advertised that it will not attract bugs. This bulbs is over my front porch and bugs are seemingly attracted to the bulb.

The bulbs has been in place for about 3 years. Bugs enter the house flying around the light and around my screen door.

    Any reasons why?

Why did it take you 3 years to address this problem?

It’s appears that the first year the bugs didn’t congregate around the light. I was hoping an entomologist lurked on the almighty beeb waiting for his opportunity to come out of the darkness to show his awesomeness.
I’m counting on him. I hate bugs in the house.

Since we have to wait for Francis to have a sit down with his GF I was wondering if the beeb has finally been stumped a topic about the lack of information on entomology.

The bugs might be attracted to the heat the bulb creates.
