Mixed conditions made for a slow but interesting race. Congratulations Chaz! It looks like Bein has the supersport race folowed by SBK race 2 tomorrow morining beginning at 6am Eastern. PJ in qualified in the middle of row 1 in wet conditions. I'm hoping he can nail the start and keep Sofuoglu from getting into a rhythym and breaking away.
I've been catching WSBK on Bein via Sling. I searched for qualifying, but Bein did not broadcast that this weekend.
What happened to Nicky. Looked like he made a good tire change maybe a little early but he had the pace for a podium and maybe a win. But for sure I love the wet/dry races as it adds another deminsion to the race etc.
He wasn't going to win that race. Chaz Davies had the winning strategy. But something happened to his bike after his tire change. I don't know what. He certainly seemed frustrated.
Interested to know what happened to Hayden as well... Judging by where vdM finished, Hayden would have certainly had a podium... It also sucked that his pit crew didn't have a front tire ready which cost him and then when vdM came in, he was in and out in the 45 seconds
It was clear early on that despite being faster than the Kawasakis that he didn't have the power in a straight line to stay past. Looked frustrating
So, with 2 races left, and the right set of circumstances, Rea could wrap up the championship next round.
It looks like Sofuoglu's lil' homeboy, Topshelf Razgatlioglu, has found some form in the STK1000 class. Great ride to 2nd and entertaining to watch.
