Some riders welcome a strong teammate (Marquez) while others don't want their team supremacy in question as they aren't supremely confident in their abilities (Bagnaia/Marini/Rossi)
Gerloff..... Remember when you just knew he was going to win anytime now? Maybe this race!? A bud in the paddock tells me he is super talented but completely in his head. Even now. Said he has an good old school manager but needs someone to really "shake it out of him." Says he has no real support when he travels with etc. I have been such a supporter of his, but I have to say if I were a team manager I would not hire him at this point. Even when he Q's well he ends up losing places. Only gets the odd one back later or through attrition. It's not working and that is such a shame.
Agreed, he has a serious case of the yips... no confidence or aggression, and as you say - Benovo looks to swap to Ducati next year and run 1 bike vs 2 and Redding will likely go with them but when asked they said "Garrett.... yeah no...." I'm guessing you'll see GG "visiting" MA rounds when he can for the foreseeable future to start talks with teams back here for next year.
My bud said he IS going to be in WSBK next year. I really hope so. But not without some mental coaching or something. I used to track him all through a race. Now, I try not to look as I already know what is going to go down. The field is so deep now. There is no time to coast. Personally I would love to see him at American Racing with a head adjustment. Maybe the change would bring back his aggression. I know Liberty would love another fast American even though is getting a little old for that paddock.
He has Def been struggling lately. Expected to a degree after the time away. He is a great rider and very popular though so hopefully he sorts it out.

Why in the world would you think cam is out next year? He’s looking better than his teammate at this point (granted that seems to be largely due to a medical issue that’s not really Jake’s fault but still… it is absolutely affecting performance).
I’m with you on everything else you’ve said but he’d get eaten alive in the moto2 paddock. I’m not sure I can think of a worse place for him to go.
So Cam’s teammate this year is JD. Based on your comment in (parentheses) above I’m wondering what Jake’s arm pump has to do with Cam doing better than his teammate.
Cant find a full video or the masses but this is hilarious : https://x.com/crash_motogp/status/1813122901987520661
Is that a joke? I mean look at the highly professional Technical Inspection cardboard and Sharpie sign and the grade school art project Passed sticker.
