    Quicktoy Is it Winter yet?

Well I didn’t see a thread so I figured I’d start one. Here’s to hoping Toprak can keep stomping the Ducs. I’m glad we have a few SBK rounds during this stupid second MotoGP summer break.

Hopefully the bikes and equipment stuck in customs make it.

I was all pumped for SBK this year and even bought the video pass. Watched the first race on my Ipad then the 2nd rnd wanted to cast it to my AppleTV and low and behold just audio came from the TV. I tried everything and finally gave up. Why in God's green earth can someone not cast from their tablet to TV? Needless to say I won't buying the package next year.

I use Airplay to send them to my TV from my Ipad. Never had an issue.

I send them to my Apple TV from my iPhone every race. Even can throw it to my Samsung tv with an internal Apple TV. What model Apple TV are you running? Need to be a 4 or 5 I believe.

I airplay them from my iphone 12 to my TV (couple year old Sony). Works just fine, although air play definitely is not as user friendly as chromecast or similar.

I have always been a huge SBK fan, since the mid 2000s, but man, this schedule with 4-5-6 weeks between rounds for the first 4 rounds is such a momentum killer. They've gotta figure this out for next year to have better flow.

I cast the races from my phone (android) to my TV all the time. The issue is not with the WSBK site.

I found out what I was doing wrong. I was trying to cast from Chrome. Got home and a friend said try Safari. Loaded up Safari and low and behold I am watching WSBK on the TV.

same with AirPlay and iPhone 12 here and it works alright, but not amazing.

I think Dorna back-burnered WSBK the past year or so to focus on prepping MotoGP for Liberty Media. I’m still not convinced WSBK won’t get axed completely or perhaps intentionally suppressed so as to maintain ownership but not competition their main asset.

For those of you that get MAVTV, they're broadcasting the WSBK Silverstone round this weekend.
