Hayden has two on-track jobs this weekend. Learn (gets faster over the weekend) and don't crash. No one is expecting anything more. He is off to a good start!
Considering where the official factory Hondas are and only a second and change ahead of him I agree. Hope he gets comfortable and has a blast.
How, Kawi is pulling out and Bimota is taking their spots. Its going to be Bimota powered by Kawasaki
I told y'all Tom Sykes should've been your guy! If he doesn't turn it around, I guess a silver lining is that '25 is looking like it's going to be a teams market.
At least in FP2 he's under the qualifying cutoff time (105% in WSBK) https://resources.worldsbk.com/file...7.1458609599.1721411581-1620821781.1721411575
Negatory on Sykes. Still think he had nothing left for what he would have cost. I didn't see anything attractive about the way they went either but improvement was a possibility. Anyway, that superbike fiasco is over. "They" never wanted it and the support was shit.
Jayson Uribe got to ride Pedercini and now Hayden on MIE, who knew the true path to Europe lay in Stock 1ooo
having 4 or 5 laps canceled for exceeding track limits, he'll be there when he can figure out how to color inside the lines.
There's an other piece related to Rea that you didn't cover. Pere Riba (sp?) is now working with Alex Lowes. Alex has been up in the hunt most weekends and is 4th overall (currently). Rea's a bit lost, and I'm wondering how much of that is the new bike learning curve, or the lack of Pere Riba? Still exciting racing between TopCat, Bautista, Bulega and whomever is "on" on that weekend between Basani, Locatelli and Lowes.
It was fun to see him get a good start and beat VDM and Redding. Toprak is absolutely destroying the field this year.
