I believe George is a little older than that guy. I did see GT about 25 years ago in a small local club, pretty good show. Thanks...I needed a laugh today.
Anyone north of 50 and not aware of Return to Forever... must have come up in the corn belt. (You probably need to be north of 55. Crap.)
Odd...not a single Ty Tabor mention. Hell Mayer is a damn great player if you don't pay attention to the poppy radio play shit.
Al was hanging around in his apartment while he was going to the Bezerklee School of Music (A festering pool of Scientologists) when he got a phone call from Chick Corea. Chick had heard a demo tape and offered him a spot in the band. They had a gig in two days at Carnegie Hall. Al left for NY and never returned to that apartment for his belongings.
Man am I late to the thread but Per Nilsson damn it. Don't mind the headstock, his guitars have all been involved in accidents.

If your are going to go Wes, you can't leave out Kenny Burrell. The tone! And I am pretty certain I am the only guy to mention the Jamaican jammer Ernest Ranglin. As smooth as silk (see Below the Baseline for a good example).
Tonights fav is Peter Green. Gary Moore's Strat 50th anniversary concert....rendition of Red House, is easily the most entertaining performance I've ever seen.
Ty is a bad man. John is so well liked that he and Bonamossa are both driving certain guitar gear prices through the roof.
