I saw a young kid wearing Stan Smiths, today, and struck up a conversation about his shoes. Ended up buying another pair, after ~40yrs of not owning a pair. Still a great looking shoe.
My kid has a all white pair of Air Force Ones now that are his favorite kicks to wear at the moment. Apparently it’s the thing now in sixth grade.
Aaah! Originally, Nike Legends. Supply chain issues seem to have affected availability. Otherwise, I would’ve went with them. They’re a wider fit, which suits me better.
Air Force Ones weigh like 500 pounds compared to new technology sneakers like UltraBoost and the ilk. No way would I trudge around in heavy sneakers all day
Pretty sure, they fall into the “lifestyle” segment, these days. I’m a Brooks fanboy and have at least a dozen pair of Cascadia, Ghost, and Glycerin. I only wish Brooks made work boots, too.
Pretty much When I was 16 the Foamposites were supposed to be so lightweight and now I have a pair and never wear them. They are like wearing concrete boots. Technology wins again
