    1) Loaning my 929 to one of my best friends so he could be on the track with me at the same time. The picture of us both going through T9 at Portland is priceless.

    2) The people I have met and good friends I have made along the way. A core group of good guys here in Portland. Meeting Mongo in Michigan at the same time I met Brandon, which resulted in a trip to the IOM to stay with and watch Brandon race it.

    3) Building my own Aprilia from nothing but a spare motor and wiring harness. Taught me a lot about myself and improved self confidence a ton.

All three are priceless, even though they come at the expense of riding and racing.

    1) A set of keihin fcr flatslides for my fzr400 back in the day. Da Bomb.

    2) a set of Cosworth 1mm o/s pistons in 13-1 comp. the the fzr400.

    3) an EZ up canopy.

This is back in 94/95. I had no money, worked at a bike shop, and my whole life was centered around racing. I sacrificed so much to do soooo much.

That list in noway represents the totality of my investments or priorities to get on track, but those were the top 3 self gratifying investments.
