lots of firsts. first time at barber, first time at a GNF and first time endurance racing. Crashed in endurance practice.....also my first crash. Then running 5-8s off where I though I should be in the sprints. Coming into my main pit after the endurance race and somehow finding my shock was unscrewed from the lower yoke and my rear was sitting on the subframe...(which it was NOT that morning)
Good: Being at a beautiful track, with perfect weather, and seeing some ol' friends. Bad: Being obnoxiously slow. Knowing that was most likely my last race.
saw some barber officials standing on the tower after the races and guiding security through the paddock via radio to where the smoke went up ...
The good: Set a new record lap for me. Had fun chasing Broome, Anne and Kirby. Ended Sunday with some descent times Learned a lot about Barber Had fun, drank beers with good people, and learned a lot The bad: This crash due to a brake issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wktZCzZNqmI Barber oiling down half the track thanks to a $30 hydraulic line... come on! The prices this year were a little higher for the races... made me cut back a smidgen Having to fly out Monday morning for work after getting home Sunday night I'm indifferent to the tiles... because I didn't get one.
I figured a few beers were the least I could do for you and Russel helping out all season Good: First endurance race ever and it was a hoot. Being at the track and seeing some very large grids. Running in 3rd place during the LWTSB race on Saturday. Bad: Promptly crashing out of 3rd place during the LWTSB race on Saturday, having my bike go airborne and then land on my foot while sliding off the track.
Another good: Having the announcer ask for someone to bring me a beer. And a minute later someone handing me an ice cold Corona! Another bad: Shennanigans in the shower when I'm trying to get my shower on. Robby-Bobby I don't wanna see that!!!!!!!
Good: Draik finishing both his 250 races with the shiny side up, have a buyer waiting at the track to haul the turd off. Bad: doesn't even matter Even better than all that: He's done with that class and already breaking his own goals on the SV.
Good: Barber, Meeting some great people, Watching my son ride at Barber for the first time. Bad: Can't think of anything at the moment.
Good: awesome weather. Many 250 racers Bad: getting a concussion and barely remembering the weekend...and seeing how slow my cbr250 is against all the ninjas.
First time at Barber and GNF! The Good: Winning all the LW Novice races, and getting a 6th overall in one of the Sunday races on my SV also bringing home 3 Championships! The Bad: coming all the from 15th to 2nd in 3 laps in C superbike then tucking the front in charlotte's web. Also arm pump! Haha
Good: seeing everyone (even that meanass Kessler) after almost a year off. Bad: having to leave at 6am Sunday and missing the Sat. Lwt SS race.
