Several years back, I saw someone bring their racebike to the GNF with a similar rig. IIRC, the tow bike had Ohio plates.

Back when we raced at good old IRP in the 90's there was a guy that towed his CB350 racebike with a Goldwing.

Wonder if that was the same guy you're thinking of.

I see those on CL a lot. Have been waiting to see one at the track.

It has been a number of years back and the details are a bit fuzzy, but I do think it was a vintage bike.

Any chance his name was Stanley and possibly from NJ?

Don't remember his name but I have a pic of his rig in my workshop because I always thought it was a cool way to get to the track.

I could have misremembered the plate. There can't be too many people towing a racebike with a 'wing.

There was an old fellow and his son that used to come from ohio on gold wings with their CB350's on the trailers. The old fellow rode two up with his wife and she was pit crew for her husband and son. Old guy was faster than the son...and would strap his trophy to the bars of his race bike...Brando style for the ride home. I haven't seen them in years. Betcha Sean or Evelyn will remember their names.

    Cheers,

    Tex

Used to do that a lot in the '70's. Towed a cross-country bike from Indy to the Jack Pine in Michigan, new rear knobby was half worn out when we got there.

Last week I saw some metric cruiser in the back of a S10 sized pickup...on it's side. No straps visible.

That's encouraging. I have a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van. I pull a trailer but thought I'd put my bike inside next season for the really long trips to help the gas MPG's. I race a 650 Ninja
