Folks, don’t try this at home. Our State Patrol friends stopped this vehicle Sunday on US 63 in Polk County because this isn’t a safe way to transport a snowmobile. If you’re transporting equipment this winter, you are advised to safely haul it secured on a trailer or in a truck.

Looks like he has a "safety flag" on one of the skids... What's the problem?

Well, if an RC51 can do 208 mph, that rig has to hit at least 220.

Would it have been OK if it was running the length of the car instead of across it?

Officer, I don't know what you're talking about. We were just driving along and I heard this big "Thunk!" on the roof of the car. I just figured a bird had dropped a load on us. I was on my way to a car wash to hose it off before it messed up the paint.

All he needs is more ratchet straps.

Still safer than bare backing a college girl

IIRC, you can only have something hanging off the left side by a couple of inches and the right side by less than a foot. Otherwise, as long as it's tied down securely, you'd be good.
