I just found out there is a place locally that does vitamin shots and wellness infusions. Anyone tried or do these? I have always been a supplement guy. I have read and heard good things about some of these like vitamin C and B shots. My health is overall fine, I would just like a bit of my energy of years past back and to reduce a few aches and pains.

Anecdotal only, but my wife swears by them. She just finished a round of 6 spread over two weeks for undiagnosed nerve pain, which she thinks is related to her Epstein-Barr virus levels. She gets Vit D, C, B12, and magnesium on a scheduled rotation and says it has helped her in several areas. Placebo or not I'm not convinced, but either way she feels much better.

Well, your body will certainly absorb more of the B and C vitamins if they don't get ravaged by your digestive system first :D

But I recommend folks to get micro-nutrient blood tests done from time to time so that you have a baseline understanding of exactly where you sit with all your vitamin levels and if you are actually deficient in any of them and need to revamp your diet/supplement regimen.

Dr. Rhonda Patrick did some podcasts about it. I have done vitamin C IVs when I feel a cold coming. It’s much better if you do it before you get sick, effectiveness is much lower after you’re sick.

Typical IV is 25 GRAMS of Vitamin C- studies show that taking vitamin C even in massive doses does very little to increase your blood level Vitamin C because you piss most of it out. However, IV will increase your blood level vitamin C and keep it high for months, which has all kinds of benefits. These immune booster IVs are usually vitamin C, zinc, and b12. Around $200 if I remember correctly.

My wife gives me an IV "banana bag" once in a while. Just a bunch of misc vitamins.

She gives herself a daily IV bag to boost her blood pressure/hydrate etc, she has a port and does her own access. Wife has some auto immune issues and Addisons disease.

The day after running a vitamin bag i feel fantastic. I've seen the specialist retail places near me but I've never had to go into one.

Definitely get your T levels checked. I’ve had two tests done, split by a period of time for confirmation, and both were low. Injections are next.

    Oral supplements create expensive urine.

My good buddy tests his T regularly

Changed from drinking tap water to spring water and within 6 months his T numbers were up.

    Amazing
