We were one of the first schools to go back. I figure when most go back in the next 10 days , we will be in session for about 5 days after that and they’ll send us home again.
All shows are closed. Most of the bigger clubs have their pools open as day clubs but you are only getting in if you are a guest of the property. I wouldn’t bother right now unless you like to gamble, and even that is limited.
Yes, coming from a guy that frequents Vegas, it’s not worth the go. I did a virtual walkthrough of a place on the strip today and even at the discount to pre-Covid prices I’d be getting I couldn’t do it. My friend FaceTimed me from the strip as well as the casino and it’s absolutely dead. There are no shows open, no buffets, etc. it’s bad and now CES has pulled the plug for their big show in January. Until the foreign gambler can come back to play and conventions are back in town, it’s a different animal.
I was scheduled to attend an event in LV next month. the event was moved from OC CA to an open air area in LV. But I just checked and the event has gone full virtual. So no LV for me this year.
American adventure tours does dirtbike tours through the desert. Bike and tour guide, and gear provided. I did it a 2 years ago and had a blast. Will be doing it again when i am back out there next time.
I just did a Zion/Vegas trip two weeks ago. Zion is open and worth a trip up, although you'd need to spend a night there to really see anything. Vegas wasn't as busy as normal which was to be expected, but the casinos that were open were pretty busy. Depending on what days you'll be there, you might want to check out Fremont Street. It's not for everyone, but if you like a little trashiness and people watching it's definitely worth a go. When I was just there on a Saturday night, it was completely jammed as normal. Wouldn't have known a virus was going around.
I think the Imperial Palace still has an amazing consignment car collection on the top floor. I haven't been there in about a decade but they had some amazing eye candy up there and all of it was for sale. A real Mazda 787B and a Jaguar XJ220.
Get the F out of Vegas and go to red rocks for some bouldering. Rent a downhill bike and hit up Mt Charleston.
