First of all, she seems to be an amazing young woman.

But I hate when they promote the heck out of these people before they've actually done what they claim to be doing. It ends up getting ugly later when they have to backtrack. But I guess that's the nature of today's media world. (She hasn't entered Air Force pilot training yet and only had a familiarization flight in an F16.)

Look into the last high profile female F16 gal that was removed from duty. Or the first female bomber pilot. Or the first female F14 pilot. Etc.

There are plenty of females that are actually DOING the job and kicking ass at it already.

 

Spoiler alert: it’s a biological female.

 

And they use a horrible picture of her. Geez.

It's been a while, but I once recall seeing a website highlighting the females of the Israel Defense Force. There were some that were absolutely stunning.

 

But could they soldier?

 

I wasn't worried about that too much when I viewed the site back in the day.

 

Did it bring you to attention and make you salute?

 

He most likely wasn't wasn't thinking about that either back in the day.

You noticed they were hot . . . and thats it?

 

I remember the pictures in question. They left me craving military discipline.

 

That got passed around, TBH I had never considered a JAP until I saw them.

Then I thought “No way they would be interested in an Enlisted swabbie” … !

 

Sure as hell going to be more effective than what the military has been unsuccessfully doing for the last few years

 

Having dealt with high school kids every day for a few years, I can say that the pool of potential recruits is steadily shrinking. Lack of physical fitness is a huge issue. Combine that with societal issues that we can't discuss here, and I'm not surprised that the military has chronic recruiting issues.

I know, Karen...but as the father of two girls I think participating in Miss America is, ironically, one of the biggest female stereotypes she claims to be shattering. Everything that she has accomplished is incredible, she just so happens to be very attractive and you would hope she would recognize that isn't really an accomplishment, rather a premium blend of DNA from her parents.
