    The FIASCO book (and Eat the Rich to some extent) leads you to believe the whole thing is a big scam. Basically the fund managers couldn't give a shit if anyone in the fund makes money. Their whole deal is to move money around so they get paid commissions. If an invester accidenatlly makes a few bucks, that fine, but it's not the goal by any stretch of the imagination.
