The pics I've posted were all sourced from UK based sites, believe it or not, not all of us are fans of the Royal Family.

 

I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a fan. I would say I have respect for the symbolic positions of the constitutional monarchy. Especially considering she was never meant for the position. And that SHE embodied the dutiful sense of that position for her country. More so than any of the royal family.

The procession from the castle to parliament was pretty impressive.

 

Yeah, not quite. I'm not one run around crying about "the colonizers". But if you dont think it was ripe with death and hardship...I dont know what to tell ya. Ask the Aboriginees or the Kenyans, among others.

 

Multiple things can be true, and I think this is as well. Across the world, I would much rather live in countries that were former colonies than ones that were not, in almost all cases.

 

Yeah, there are many cultures that are still hunter gatherer at this very moment and they are perfectly happy. They aren't complaining about their kids being overweight, video game addicted, drug abusing softies. And we aren't sweating our asses off, wondering about catching the next meal or the outsiders encroaching on our territory. Who's to say which is "better".

 

You willing to give back your piece of the American pie to make yourself feel better about being the beneficiary of conquest? Are you willing to Give your house and your bank account to a native family? I’d expect not. Rarely is it the people stating injustice that are willing sacrifice their own for (perceived) justice.
