There was no step up from one to the next. Everybody who ran in Q1 also ran in Q2 the next day. And Q2 was not the final word if someone was faster in Q1. So whomever made brought up Michael Andretti on TV was just wrong. Apples and oranges.
I believe they said first time a US driver has qualified in the top 10 since Andretti, not that he made Q3.
This race should not have been red flagged... but at least the crowd is having fun! Its like they're giving red bull more time to fix the car.
I mean, zhous car was directly in a crash zone and demolished the barrier. It had to be red flagged, not really a conspiracy.
Those were the happiest fans I've ever seen, every one of them had a glass of beer in hand. Looks like a great place to have a race.
I went to qualifying at COTA 2 years ago, I was surrounded by drunk Dutchman. Most fun I've ever had at a racing event.
That's because they don't drink at home. I lived in NW Iowa for a short bit. Major Dutch country. No alcohol at any company event. You can't even wash your car on a Sunday or you will get talked to. But when you are out of town with them, damn...
Apparently Spectrum dropped ESPN due to a dispute. So guess I won't be watching the race this weekend. Assholes.
I'm sure doing this on the opening weekend of college football was a complete coincidence. Finally, my switch to ATT Uverse pays off
