Did you see what Daniel Jones got? He had the lowest downfield average, had his first season where he hasn't gotten hurt, of course in a contract year. The Giants have no clue what they are doing, and then trying to sign Barkley long term. Sigh...they raised season tix prices this year, at best this team will be a wild card team. The Eagles are actually right, Schoen sucks https://giantswire.usatoday.com/202...iants-proved-they-arent-worth-worrying-about/
Daniel Jones got 18% of the salary cap. Dak Prescott, when he signed for the same amount DJ just signed for, got 22% of the salary cap. Patrick Mahomes when he signed wanted his salary as a percentage of the salary cap and the Chiefs said no. The Chiefs are celebrating because the Mahomes contract is looking better and better every year as the salary cap keeps going up.
That term is offensive, misogynist and does not adhere to current DEI standards. I demand that trophy be renamed the Heisperson Trophy, and it be given to all persons who participated in competition. Additionally, a new trophy for non-participants with equal prestige must be awarded to anyone who wishes to receive it. Awards must also be awarded to those who identify as something other than a person.
Funny how everyone totally forgot about the totally forgettable Matt Leinart. Yes, he won a Heisman, though he was so bad he wasn't even on my 'bust Heisman QB' radar. It's telling when you suck so bad people forget to mention you in the HEISMAN QBs WHO SUCKED conversation.
Take the list of winners since, say 1990. Or 2000. Whatever. The list of players that made a solid name for themselves in the NFL will be shorter than the name of players that were a flop or even OK for a few years.
