http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=41703 Okay, I totally appreciate the craftsmanship and eye for detail, but why?
The Jamie James Productions stuff if more to my taste. A woody R1? Hey, it makes a statement, that's for sure.
Am I mistaken or did they take of one of the rotors? I'm not too big a fan of these crazy looking builds. At least I like go fast a lot more then "look good".
I'd be imnpressed if someone actually took the time to glue up the wood stock required and then CNC milled all those pieces out of some nice burled walnut or mahogany. Not my cup of tea but I could appreciate the time required to put out show quality pieces of real wood for the body work.
I like it. There are plenty of racer replica R1's out there, this is something different and cool in it's own way.
Who cares, really? But T.I. and his Woody might sell a few bikes for Yamaha or the other manufacturers and that helps everyone. They sell more bikes maybe they'll spend more $$$$ supporting roadracing.
i like the quote "TI is a serious rider" really? no one can ride that abomination and be taken seriously.
ummmm.....yeah.....looks like a Chopper met a R1 in the back alley on some planks of wood and had that thing
They cut off part of the qoute...should have read. "TI is a serious rider as long as it's only in a straight line and for less than a 1/4 mile."
Yep... I guess so.... With all the best in the World arriving in Indy today they resort to a TI Drag Bike..... Pretty Sad..
