saw a few suits and checked out there stuff at laguna. seemed to be pretty nice stuff. will be looking into a new suit soon. any input on the rs taichi stuff? thanks
well.. i'd like tp know how they crash for one. how the seems hold up etc.. i have had my barnicle bills suit for a couple of years and it's a great suit, very protective, never had an issue with seems tearing etc. only thing is it is very heavy. i guess i am looking for the best of both worlds. best protection and weight. i was also looking at the komodo stuff. either way i e-mailed alexa and she said she can alter the off the rack suit to fit better. i hate that the arms and legs are to long with the rack suits. if i get the arms and legs to fit i can't get my fat ass in the suit. they need to come up with a custom size for beer gut and skinny limbs.
Bill makes a great suit that will crash all damn day and have 50 more crashes in them than you do. Taichi's crash well and they do custom suits. All it takes is a little more than off the rack.
Brian Van used to. Motoliberty has them now. For custom: http://www.rs-taichi.com/main/index.html order direct. I got a new pair of size 44 sunfires around somewhere that I'll sell you if you're of normal size.
I also checked them out in laguna and was very impressed. They fit extremely well on me for an off the shelf suit, and I'm tough to fit (6'1 170lbs.)
Alexa made a suit that fits that description for me- too bad she's not making any more, she's been too busy doing crash repairs and lettering. Damn fine suit though, fits like a glove since I've gained a little weight.
So what if your training includes 12 oz curls and pizza hut? Glad to hear they're working out. Remember to give me asome feedback. Even though we've suspended the program for right now, we have all sorts of ideas for the future, and your input is more than welcome.
Good suit for the $$. Nice perf, decent armor, easy to alter and repair. I have a pair of their gloves and love them, well built and best of all they fit my square palm.
