this is the hardest loss in a long while. .good people seem to leave us too soon.all you can think is why? though there isn't any answer.
I hope you don't mind I quoted this on a blog post about Nicky here: http://www.speedofarrival.com/2017/05/loss.html
The love for Nick is overwhelming. My feed on Instagram today was flooded with images, memories and prayers about nicky. And I didn't even have to search his name:
My heart goes out to the entire Hayden family. The only peace I can take from this, is he achieved his ultimate dream. The loss will be felt for a long, long time, but I'm also grateful for having the chance to see his youthful exuberance and drive, carry him to the pinnacle of the sport, while still keeping his core values intact. Perhaps having people like Nicky taken so early in life, help those who remain gain perspective on our own goals, and make us ask ourselves whether we're living the life we're truly meant to live. Remembering him, will always bring a smile.....and a tear, to my face.
Crying my heart out right now at my desk! This is just so painful. I never meet him in person, but saw him race at Laguna Seca, would get up early on Saturday & Sunday mornings to spend time watching him race. He lust for life would come right through that TV screen. I'm a Brit, but always supported Nicky, not sure why? for some reason he just had that hold over people. American HERO , you god damn bet cha. So sad for his family. Man this hurts so bad.
