5500 is a good price, he will probably get that or close to it. The 04, 05, and 06 models get slightly more. Removing the non factory stickers will help with the sale.
People got in their heads that these bikes are really special and should be held in the same regards as the mighty RC30 and RC45, completely ignoring the fact that it has very little in common with either and wasn't produced in limited numbers. They do sound cool tho.
Matt, I like the bike’s history. Created as a Ducati killer in WSBK. I’m kinda hoping that trend comes back. With true supersport machinery on life support. Perfect opportunity for Japanese manufacturers to create another RC51 to compete with the Ducati liter bike that will own the, cough cough…middle weight classes. Bye bye Supersport, hello Super Twins?
They are not particularly attractive or fast but I’m starting to like ‘em. No idea why other than it’ll do 205 mph.
I liked my RC51 and I'd like to still have mine. However as a race platform it wasn't great and certainly is not on par with the Rc30 or 45. I also would pass on owning another. I did make a good bunch of friends via the Rogue board and events when it was alive.
