Oh great and powerful Beeb. WHat's the best/cheapest/best service place to get RAM memory for my MacBook Pro? I'm picking up the tab instead of work...hence the cheap part. Looking at needing 8 gig of 1067 MHz DDR3 ram memory in two sims. Thanks! Mud
I spent a month and 4 different local stores trying to find memory that would work in my macbook. They are seriously picky system in regards to what memory they recognize. I finally found some that worked from here: http://www.crucial.com/mac/index.aspx
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231294 I have had good success with G.Skill Memory in Macs. At $119 it is the cheapest I have seen an 8GB kit. In the review of this memory there are many Mac users posting postive feedback for it. I am assuming you have a Unibody MacBook Pro, if you have an older Aluminum one, you need DDR2-667 RAM and will be maxed at 4GB.
I have the 1067 ram. And how to differentiate the unibody versus the aluminum macbook? Cause the shell looks...well...aluminum.
I wonder if I'm the only one here who used to buy stuff from them over the counter, in their stores... fack, I'm old. -jim
