Haven’t read anything on this thread beyond part of the first post and I don’t have any advice or a what you should do. Way back in the early kollege days I had to do “volunteer work” for my fraternity so I chose to work at a battered womens and family clinic because I was lazy and I could walk there. Anyways one woman I worked with was beaten so badly, in front of the kids that her face was more metal plates than bone so she ran. Short version, the husband and his family found where she was, threw gasoline in her face and body and lit her up in front of the kids, me and the cops. She died a few days later after total pain and they claimed “honor killing.” So, I’m throwing that out to give you worst case and not telling you to do anything. Or maybe you do need to step up.
