Thanks! GG ahead of Redding and Baz so far, not bad! I want to pull for Granado to have a good season in WSBK but I dont think it will happen =[
1:43.2? That puts him front of SSP, behind SBK. I'm honestly not sure how good or bad that is. Did you see that time, or something different?
That's 4.4 seconds from Quartararo's MotoGP record and about three seconds from Rea's WSBK record. On a stock bike with Michelin slick tires in January weather. To be honest, it's the bike I am most impressed with.
GG ended yesterday 1 sec off the top times. Perhaps they are getting the bike sorted? Still behind though. Anyone know what area(s) they are struggling with (braking, cornering, accel)? I read that last year it was acceleration, then Redding said something about the bike not holding a line cornering. Trivia question for the electronics gurus: when implementing TC during acceleration, are cylinders cut on an I4 in such a way that it acts more like a crossplane with longer and uneven delays between firing?
Not a guru but pretty sure nothing gets cut anymore. It's all done with butterflys and ignition timing.
No, splitting the throttle bodies was outlawed several years ago. Doesn't matter though, everyone else might as well save money this year and pull their entry fees https://www.crash.net/wsbk/news/101...roys-portimao-worldsbk-lap-record-motogp-pace
Heard direct from Redding mechanics last year that the swingarm and maybe frame were too stiff to get the grip they wanted.
