As much as I love my mp5 with a giggle switch, would never use for self defense. Stock Optics suck unless you do something like you have which no one wants to do.

My actual set up is below. No giggle switch. I used the Holosun 510C (red) for the top.
The irons are ok, but with the flat top and the Holosun, not usable. Got those zeroed before I put the Holosun on though.
    Holosun makes it super accurate.

The AR-9 has a place, but my comment to @Gorilla George was more along the lines of just buy the right tool at the beginning, since he's got the ability to do so. Then he can par-cor and hop over park tables with Captain Iron Man while saving civilization and look like a cool dude from an 80s Action movie. :D

I appreciate this recent direction. Just got my form 1 back on the H&K and added the 553R to the pack

Was she able to reload the magazine, rack the slide?

She was able to hit a silhouette in the chest with 6 shots and she loaded the gun herself.

  8. I have quite a few ARs...but I already have about 10k rounds of 5.56, and only 1 outdoor range relatively nearby. I go through 9mm and .45 a lot faster. Part of me wants to buy it, just because it would be funny. :D But ive got no use for that much AR ammo.

Just built this bad boy. 6.5 Ruger American, Vortex Viper scope. I’m deciding if I want to shoot it or sell it. I love the tripod I converted from a Camera. All Carbon and super light.

Totally going to be an dickhead on this one...... Besides mounting a scope and Acra rail, what did you "build" on the rifle? :Poke:

The Ruger American isn’t a chassis rifle is it?

Pretty sure that's a Ruger Precision Rifle in the photo that @Quicktoy posted and not a Ruger American.

Lmao. It is a precision. As I was making the post I was showing a new ruger American 556 we just got in to an employee and I typed that. I’m a moron. My apologies.

The tripod for photography setup converted to guns is what I built. It’s a $2000 tripod setup.

Gitzo Carbon fiber tripod with Foba Superball mount and we machined an adapter plate.
