    Why do you think they kept Dani around? Good wingman who could occasionally win races but wasn’t going to upset Márquez in any way.

    They could have gotten anybody to do that. Think they were looking for another championship contender or at least top 5, not top 10-15.

    They would have been better off getting the brother if they wanted that, at would have been a cheaper price.

    I dunno, he’s made a ton of money racing and also had a ton of injuries that will definitely affect his life as he gets older. At some point the risk doesn’t outweigh the reward. Who knows what his mental state is at this point. He’s had a bad couple of years in terms of results and that’s tough to handle when you’ve been one of the top 5 riders for a very long time.
