Probably made in the same factory in Pakistan as a lot of the other brands you see pop up from time to time. Really, it’d depend on the importer as to how your experience would go but really, shit if I know.
Would you buy a helmet from Billy Bobs Pretty Good Cheap Helmets? Get a known brand that's been around for more than a minute, your life may depend on it.
Man, I once saw a poor guy show up to a Roger Lyle track day with what looked like a thin pleather dominatrix suit. He read the rules on Rogers site, and interpreted “leather suit” as in any ol’ leather regardless of purpose Roger did the guy a solid and explained the major difference and let him get a rental set for the guy not understanding.
I did the hazardous racing thing of the mid 20teens. I was one of the few who got lucky, sent my measurements, paid, got my suit relatively quick and it fit. However, I was one of the few. This game has been played for a long time, be careful you are not one of the many. (Hazardous racing suits was the flavor of the moment)
I don’t think $1,900 is insanely low for a suit, though the Black Friday deal is very aggressive. Let’s dispel the misinformation and stick to the facts MattRacing is a well known French brand with numerous riders at the international pro level including French superbike, EWC and the FIM women’s championship. They own their own factory and production. Mattracing is an official technical partner of In&Motion and Helite. There are a few American riders now like Jeff Tait in STK1000 as well, I have plenty of videos and pics of the awesome quality on my social media, you can see on TikTok Instagram etc @andrewgawer25 I don’t work with any brand I don’t trust and feel confident representing, for all these reasons I feel privileged to be their first American racer as they expand out of France to the USA. The gloves have been fantastic too, it’s been almost two seasons now I believe. They are the sole reason I have a fully unlocked in motion airbag in the states and got to be one of their motocross development riders. Mattracing also has some MX/off-road gear as well. https://mattracing-moto.com/en/
is Dainese made in Italy? No. That’s not how manufacturing works in a 2024 global economy. It’s not 1967 anymore man. both my VW are made in Mexico and my iPhone and Apple laptop are made in China. It’s nonsensical
"The brand is French, the specifications are French and, we have our own factory in Pakistan. All brands have their suits made in Pakistan or Thailand now." message from mattracing
yep all gear I’ve ever had was Pakistan, Thailand or Vietnam. They are the experts in apparel manufacturing. Most leather goods still made in places like Italy are done with imported Chinese sweatshop labor. That’s why Italy was hit so hard by COVID compared to the rest of Europe.
they are a European brand so you won’t find many here with experience, maybe there are French riders you can talk to other than myself and Jeffrey Tait. Christian Maronian also has a Matt Racing suit and Daniel Beresford
